Is Icon Rocklear a ceramic coating?

No. A ceramic coating sits on top of your paint and wears off in a few years. Icon Rocklear bonds chemically and becomes part of your clear coat. It is permanent, with nothing to reapply.

Rocklear or PPF, which is better?

PPF is a thick film that guards against rock chips, but it can yellow, show seams, and lift your clear coat when it is removed. Icon Rocklear has no film, no seams, never yellows, and is backed for 15 years. For the body of the car, it is the stronger long-term value.

Why is ceramic cheaper at first but more over time?

A ceramic coating costs less up front, but it gets reapplied every few years and usually carries annual maintenance. Over 15 years that adds up to more than Icon Rocklear, which is done once.

Does Icon Rocklear bead water?

No, it sheets water off the surface instead of beading. Beads sit on the paint and can leave water spots, while sheeting carries dirt and minerals off cleanly.
