A widebody Challenger's one of the least forgiving shapes to finish well. The doors are long and nearly flat, the hood's broad, and the roof reads as one continuous surface, so there's nowhere for an average finish to hide on the car. This red SRT Hellcat came through for Icon Rocklear, our permanent paint protection coating, and the red now carries real depth instead of just brightness, holding one unbroken reflection from the front fender flare back through the rear quarter.

Rocklear becomes part of the clear coat rather than sitting on it as a sacrificial layer, and on a car like this the practical payoff is that the colour stays where it is. Reds are the paint family most people have watched go chalky and pink after enough summers, and a coated finish resists the UV fade and the dulling that get blamed on age instead. It doesn't yellow, it never needs to come off, and you're not waxing it to keep the depth it's got the day it leaves.

The widebody kit's where a coating either proves itself or doesn't. The flares meet the original body at a hard crease, and the reflection has to run across that transition without breaking up.
